We are a care management agency specializing in comprehensive care management services for the aged and the disabled, providing flexible and mobile assistance in New York City. We serve as dedicated and empathetic advocates for clients to ensure the best possible care and quality of life for both client and family. Daughters & Sons is owned and operated by Kristina F. Saxena, LMSW, CMC, a licensed social worker with extensive experience in care management.

Our Services

Our goal is ensure that all of the psychosocial, medical and physical needs of our clients are met with compassion, respect and comfort.

Our services are mobile and flexible, tailored to assist home-bound clients who require in-person visits and care management in New York City. In addition to providing a wide range of services for our clients, we assist in communicating and coordinating with the family. Empowering and offering support to the dedicated caregivers is a service we take seriously and is a specific area of our expertise.

Team members of Daughters & Sons Care Management have experience working with court-appointed guardians, as well as the various agencies that serve as stakeholders in the care of our clients. Finally, we act as a liaison with insurance companies to ensure your loved one receives what he or she is entitled to. Additionally, we advocate for our clients and their families as it relates to benefits from Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security and even home-delivered meals.

Our Management

Kristina F. Saxena, LMSW, CMC, is the founder, owner and manager of Daughters & Sons Care Management. She brings over a decade of experience in social work, care management and patient advocacy to her role. She works with both the aged population as well as the disabled. Prior to finding her calling in care management, Kristina worked with survivors of domestic violence in the Queens Criminal Court and with children in early childhood development programs.

Kristina is a Licensed Master Social Worker and holds a Care Manager Certification. She is also a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the Aging Life Care Association. Kristina earned her Bachelor of Arts from New York University in 2001, attained a master’s degree in Social Work from Fordham University in 2012 and, in 2018, received a post-master’s certificate from New York University for social workers specializing in palliative and end-of-life care.

Kristina created Daughters & Sons Care Management to provide her clients with the best holistic care. Kristina strongly believes in providing services that nurture the nurturer, as caring for an aging or disabled loved one can take its toll emotionally and physically on the caregiver.

For many years, Kristina volunteered by leading a support group for caregivers of spouses with dementia through CaringKind in New York City. She has served on the board of her co-op since 2018. Additionally, Kristina serves on the board of her swim team and coaches one of the team’s programs.
